Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 2014 – Fleur de Lys Confit de Canard

The full description of this is Confit de Canard, Pommes de Terre Sarladaise (Pulled Duck Confit with Garlic and Parsley Potatoes)… The evening we tried this, we also had the Gnocchi Parisien and the Kronenbourg Blanc 1664.

The duck was very rich and the flavor was okay, but not as “ducky” as we prefer

The dumplings weren’t like Italian gnocchi at all in terms of shape or texture. It was more like someone had made a long “snake” of dough, cut it off into equal sections, and called it dumplings.

We made our way back to the Buttercup Cottage to sample the “Freshly Baked Potato and Cheddar Cheese Biscuit with Smoked Salmon Tartare”

We had this item last year -we couldn’t detect the cheese this year either.

The salmon was VERY lemony, maybe that’s where the strong lemon scent we’ve been smelling is coming
