September 2nd, 2010 We’ve planned a pretty busy schedule for this year’s Epcot Food & Wine Festival (for more details check allearsnet here, disney food blog here, and disney world’s website here). And this doesn’t include all of the Eat to the Beat concerts we want to attend!

Our goal is to review the EXTRA activities available at Walt Disney World that are not included in your theme park ticket… fun things that many casual visitors (and even some WDW-fanatics) may not know about…

I was cleaning out my bag last night & ran across some notes
(granted, they’re skimpy notes by my usual standards, but there wasn’t a lot of opportunity to take my usual voluminous tomes)
Electrical Energy – WDW has three power plants & they must buy more power from

Now, back to the Backstage Magic Tour.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The first thing we noticed as we drove backstage on the big cruise bus – backstage is “finished” – it looks like a hollywood studio – with good reason, it used to be a working studio.

Yesterday, we took the Backstage Magic Tour; this tour was focused on the four WDW theme parks and provided a glimpse of what goes on backstage to create the magic we all enjoy.
Right up front, while we enjoyed the tour – we’re big readers, I’m a particularly avid

On May 8th 2010, we (Nick, Kate, Calvin & I) went on the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure (see allearsnet for the basic rundown) – and was it ever fun! So much so that Nick & I are ready and willing to do it again!

The day after we played at the Sand Course @ Winter Summerland, we went and played the Gardens Course at Fantasia Gardens. Another course we’d never played, another goofy golf course, and not as much fun or as interesting as the Sand Course.
We did not get low scores on this course, however, we
