November 1st, 2011 Last year we did two pairings, Japan’s Food & Sake Pairing (here) and Morocco’s Food & Wine Pairing (here). We enjoyed the event in Japan quite a lot, so we’re repeating it this year; and luckily for us, they’ve changed the menu and the presentation a bit. This was our second of three such pairings

October 31st, 2011 We first tasted Unibroue beer the last time we ate at Le Cellier in the Canada pavilion. This was at least 3 years ago. We have never really understood all the hoopla surrounding this restaurant. It is ok but it does not deserve all the hype it gets on WDW fan sites and blogs. So

October 30th, 2011 We really enjoy our sushi, judging most places by the quality of their tuna. We’ve already talked about the Tuna and Salmon Sensation being served at the Japan booth this year. This was excellent quality fish. So how did the Hawaii both do?

October 29th, 2011 I like pork, especially pulled pork. Thus when I saw the pulled pork slider at the Hawaii booth I knew I had to try it.

In a word, yummy. The pork was moist and had just a few red pepper flakes

October 27th, 2011 Sharing events with friends is always more fun. Our friends Al and Judy were here for the weekend with Al’s “Big Sis”. So for this lunch we had a fantastic time and got to do more than just focus on the food – we got to share with friends. We’ve already been talking with Al

October 23rd, 2011 The long anticipated and much watched “La Hacienda San Angel” (located in Epcot’s World Showcase Mexico Pavilion) opened on September 16, 2010.
We’d been reading reviews of the press event and of “La Cantina San Angel” (counter-service located immediately next door) on allears.net and on the Disney Food Blog…

October 1st, 2011 For some reason I try “fish” tacos frequently. Well, I try them as often as I find them. Yet, none compare to what my mind/taste say they should be. There is always some freshness missing. The shrimp tacos at the Mexican Pavilion still did not satisfy.
Nora explained to me that a seafood taco

August 16th, 2011 Our favorite presenter at the 2010 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival was Martin Daraz from the Edrington Group. You cannot imagine my disappointment when Martin nor the Edrington Group were on the schedule for the 2011 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
Martin celebrated his fifth year as a presenter last year by sharing
