Epcot Food & Wine – Culinary Demonstration – Steve Lawlor – Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground

We selected this culinary demonstration for two reasons… (1) we’re huge fans of Fort Wilderness and (2) we hoped to see Chef Nick (we knew him from his previous post at Port Orleans French Quarter)

Specifics: Food: Farm Fresh “BLT” with House Made Natural Bacon, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground

Wine: Montes Limited

Boolgogi BBQ Beef – Epcot 2011 Food & Wine Festival

BBQ returned to the 2011 South Korea Booth at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, although the receipt still says “BBQ Ribs,” it’s actually little bits of beef. Nora chose it as her very first sample this year.

Looking at the photo you will see that some of the beef bits look a bit

Everything Sake! 2011

Introduction from us…

We did this class on Friday and Saturday evenings last year. When bookings became available for this year, we decided to repeat the sessions because we had such a good time last year, we learned a lot, and repetition makes knowledge stick.

Before the session began on Friday evening, we met Joe

Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic 2011 – Saturday Night

Causeway Food – Saturday Night

Tonight, it was a foregone conclusion that the event would have to be inside (due to heavy rains), so tables were set up in the hallways of the Swan’s convention space and most of the alcohol booths (predominantly wine again) were also in the hallways.

The food stations, the band,

Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic 2011 – Friday Night

Causeway Food – Friday Night

This year, in contrast to last year, the “causeway” actually went down the side of the Swan next to the lake. It seems as though the popularity of the event, both from vendors and from guests, created the need for more space and more booths.

Lettuce Wrap – 2011 Epcot Food & Wine Festival

The South Korea booth debuted in 2010 at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Nora and I enjoyed the food so it was an early stop for the 2011 event. We enjoy Asian food and look forward to trying new things. The South Korea booth brings back the same menu for 2011: Lettuce Wrap

Samuel Adams

This turned out to be more entertaining and informational than it started out to be.

First of all, the seminar got a very late start; we were finally seated at 12:14 for a 12:00 seminar (seminars that only last 45 minutes, so we lost 33% of the seminar time)… it soon became apparent that the

God smiled…

Our country has seen some really bad weather; especially floods and fires during the summer. Florida has no reason to complain but summer heat, humidity and rain kept on into the official start of fall. Friday September 30th it was still in the 90’s, humid and thunderstorms. But on Saturday October 1st we had a
