Lamb Meatball with Spicy Tomato Chutney
We were handed this while waiting for our seared sea scallop. Nick repeatedly told the attendant that it would get cold (or at least not be at it’s best temperature) because we were waiting and waiting and waiting for the scallop. Attendant couldn’t have cared less, wouldn’t even look us in the eye. Bad show.
The lamb meatball was moist and somewhat flavorful. Nothing offputting in it. Not something we’d jump up and down to get again.
The bread was strange and spongy – it would have been better without the bread and with some other starch in its place (maybe the bread is indicative of some sort of New Zealand bread?).
The tomato chutney was the best thing in this dish. Nice and sweetly tomato-y, with a hint of spice. Too bad it was cold.
Overall, not a repeatable item. On our scale of 1-10 (1=never ever again and 10=gotta have this 2 or 3 more times) – nora gives it a 5 and nick gives it a 5, overall it gets a 5/10.
