Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2014 – The Smokehouse Beer Flight

The four beers in this flight proved to be better overall than the beer in the Florida Fresh flight.

They are presented left to right, top to bottom…

Magic Hat #9 (Magic Hat Brewing, South Burlington, VT) – we both thought that this “wasn’t bad” Maduro (Cigar City Brewing, Tampa, FL) – I particularly

A quick stop at Katsura Grill, Japan Pavilion, Epcot

Katsura Grill in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot has long been a favorite of ours – especially back before we moved to the Lake Buena Vista area… back then, it was pretty much an “always do” when we’d vacation at Walt Disney World. The udon is consistently good and the beer is consistently cold.

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 2014 – Florida Fresh Watermelon Salad

We had originally said that we weren’t interested in any of the food at the Florida Fresh Outdoor Kitchen, however, on a recent Sunday’s visit to Epcot, we found ourselves craving “salad”… So, watermelon salad, here we come!

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2014 – Taste of Marrakesh Lamb Brewat Roll

We only tried one item from Taste of Marrakesh at last year’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival (spiced lamb kebab with vegetable couscous salad), it was pretty pitiful and disappointing because we typically LOVE lamb. We were so disappointed, that we just didn’t even try the booth during the Epcot International Food & Wine

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2014 – Lotus House Spring Pancake

Last year, we had the Spring Pancake twice… the first time, it was pretty “sorry” – the second time, it was improved.

Spring Pancake from Lotus House 2014 (with a side dabble of Srircha Sauce)

So far in 2014, our reviews on this item are mixed…

the pancake wasn’t greasy as it had

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2014 – less than a week away

There are topiaries all over the place and one of my favorites, the orchid display in Mexico, is back! Took some photos today (it was a bit grey and dreary) with my iPhone (please forgive the quality, Nick has some better ones coming in the future)…

Epcot Storytellers – looking back to the past

Revisiting a series from 2009… Epcot Holiday Storytellers

Epcot’s UK Pavilion – Holidays 2013

The last World Showcase pavilion on our tour is the United Kingdom…

perhaps not specifically “Christmas” but this small garden outside the bathrooms isn’t always this spectacular…

Epcot’s France Pavilion – Holidays 2013

As you may have expected, there were few items of Christmas-y interest in Japan and Morrocco… Next up is France…

we weren’t the only ones wondering what the connection was between France and the peppermint discs on the light poles… any ideas?

there were three display ornaments containing different elements of
