We want to start by letting everyone know that we’ve joined FlipBoard (you can get the app for your iPhone and/or your iPad here). And we’re trying out the magazine feature… each week we’ll create a magazine of things that we’ve seen or done relating to Extra Walt Disney World Magic. We invite everyone to come by and check it out – we’re known as “Adults exploring Disney World” in FlipBoard! Let us know what you think and if you have any questions, feel free to post them here or send us an email at flip@extrawdwmagic.com.
And don’t forget, we’re on twitter @extrawdwmagic!
Links to our posts from the past week…
- We present our first tasting of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival for 2013 – the spring pancake at the Lotus House (China booth), we weren’t very impressed, sad to say – but there are other items at this booth that we’re likely to try, such as the pan-fried vegetable bun
- Also, we attended our first professional baseball game at ESPN Wide World of Sports – the Atlanta Braves against the Washington Nationals… of course, we had popcorn, peanuts, beer, and hot dogs at the game (no cracker jacks tho!)
From around the ether…
- We didn’t make it over to The Grand Floridian to see their 2nd Annual Easter Egg display, but we do have some links so that you can take a virtual trip there yourself!
- The interweb is chock full of information about the Flower & Garden Festival (we’re waiting for the Easter and Spring Break crowds to disperse before going back for another trip around World Showcase)
- Sarah also joins us in the #2013eateachsandwich challenge @earlofsandwich – her entry this week… The Original 1762(r) (here) – we have a review of this sandwich coming in a couple of weeks! AND continuing with the “Eats at Downtown Disney” theme, she also has a review of the new “cone” sandwiches found at Marketplace Snacks (here)
- Main Street Gazette has a nice piece on the Bread Service at Sanaa (here), makes our mouths water! You know how we love that bread service ! (2 posts from the past: Dine with an Animal Specialist at Sanaa and Bread Service & Salad Sampler at Sanaa)
- We recently discovered a new blog “Pixie Dusted Treats” from a current WDW cast member, check it out if you’re into cupcakes!
That’s it for this week. The weather has turned lovely and we’re eager to get outside and enjoy a bit of it! See you soon!
