It’s something of a tradition to go to Raglan Road Pub and sit at the Tonsil Tickler with Harry & Sandy and order pints and nibbly bits. We try to do it at least once on every visit, but we may have missed a time or two in the last 6 or 7 years. On their most recent visit, we made sure that we weren’t going to miss sitting around gabbing and noshing…
The ribs were good as always. The scallops are lovely at Raglan Road, not too much breading and cooked just through so that they’re moist and tender. The onion rings always get rave reviews from all of us. The shrimp were new to our crowd… they were also cooked just through (yay! good seafood skills!), Nick and I thought they were lightly spiced with crushed red pepper but Sandy thought they were pretty spicy, and while these were quite good, I think I prefer the preparation they’re using at Spice Road Table [baguette is way better for soaking up the butter sauce than the whole wheat coarse bread at Spice Road Table].
We had a great time hanging out and making memories with friends!
