This week on Extra Walt Disney World Magic, we again have something old and something new…
- Old things first… last December, we made a trip over to Fort Wilderness to take photos of the holiday decorations that the various campsites put up and since we were hungry, we stopped at Trails End for lunch
- On a newer note… we’re attempting to visit all of the food booths at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival before it ends on May 19th, I’m beginning to have my doubts that we’re going to make it… here’s our review of Jardin de Fiestas
Now, wouldn’t it be nice if I could follow up “something old and something new” with “something borrowed and something blue”?
“something borrowed” a.k.a. from around the ether…
- It certainly seems like we’re always planning and organizing our autumn around the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival AND the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic… we have our tickets to the All Things Sake! seminar and the new pasta making seminar for the Food & Wine Classic… this week, I noticed that there is a poll on facebook to help the Swan and Dolphin decide which special seminar will take place on the causeway; if you’re on facebook and you’re interested, check it out! (special thanks to Amanda at DisneyEveryDay.com)
- I recently enjoyed the PB&J Burger at ESPN Club at the Boardwalk Resort, even more recently, I saw this video on the Disney Parks Blog about the various hamburgers available at ESPN Club (also saw a note somewhere, can’t remember where, that all of the hot dogs have been removed from the menu; haven’t verified it yet)
- Sarah at EatingWDW has two items of particular interest…
- She’s continuing with the #2013eateachsandwich challenge with a double hitter – she tried both of the seasonal specialties – the Cuban and the BBQ Pork sandwiches
- And she stopped by Cooke’s of Dublin for a Beef and Lamb Pie… that looks good!
And, I did remember “something blue”… Sarah tried the Doofenslurper at Epcot (and it’s blue)… the novelty of this escapes me, I’m not keen on blue colored food or drink and I really don’t know a danged thing about Phineas and Ferb (other than the fact that Kate loves the Christmas song from them “I’m getting nothing for Christmas!”)… Coincidentally, Sarah’s blog post is from December 24th, 2012.
Thanks everyone, don’t forget to check out FlipBoard!
If you haven’t gone over to FlipBoard and signed up for an account, why not? It’s particularly good for two reasons… (1) following @extrawdwmagic on twitter (or anyone else you follow on twitter) and (2) we put more articles into our weekly magazines than we do here on our Sunday Round-up (you can get the app for your iPhone and/or your iPad here) where we’re “Adults Exploring Disney World” or “Adults Extra Walt Disney World Magic” and on twitter where we’re @extrawdwmagic…
