Extra! Extra! Read All About It! April 7, 2013

We want to start by letting everyone know that we’ve joined FlipBoard (you can get the app for your iPhone and/or your iPad here). • This article from MousePlanet discusses what we’d call unintentional souvenirs from trips to Walt Disney World (here), don’t let that fool you, we used to hoard paper plates and napkins and use them at home to remind us of the happiest place on earth!
• Jeff over at Disney at Work discusses the new magic band in his article “No Waiting with iWatch” (here)… we haven’t turned in our paper Annual Passes for the new RFID Annual Passes yet, need to do that
• Disney Parks Blog has two interesting posts about food…
  • There’s to be a new eatery in the  Morocco Pavilion (here), incorporating small plates and views of the fireworks, let’s hope they can get it right and that the food is good
  • We still haven’t made it over to Citricos… It’s on our list, maybe this new menu will inspire us to get over there (here)
• More rumors on Disney Springs (we previously reported here)… The Atomic Grog believes that Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is coming!… (here)
• We’ve had many lovely vacations with friends at The Caribbean Beach Resort, we’d previously reported that there were menu changes at Shutters (because they got a new head chef) (here)… Today, we can give you a look at the new menu from allears.net (here)
• We do love Pixar movies… the next sequel is going to be “Finding Dory”… Ellen DeGeneres is to star in  the sequel to “Finding Nemo”… The Wall Street Journal has two items (here and here with video) AND here’s another announcement of “Finding Dory” (here)
• We’re really excited about the Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic 2013! … Received confirmation this morning, we will be attending Chad Lobner’s “All Things Sake!” class on Friday night (we have reports from SIX previous incarnation of this class! 2010, 2011, and 2012) [maybe we’ll see Aaron and Joe again this year] and the new Pasta Class from Chef Cib on Saturday night… Our friends K & K from Savannah will be joining us both evenings for classes and causeway munching!
• Our friend Lisa wants the new Dumbo Popcorn Container, we’ve been waiting for the Easter rush to end before attempting to procure two of these at Magic Kingdom (here)
• Three food items we’ve enjoyed, get Sarah from Eating WDW’s take on the same items
  • Simple but good, chicken breast nuggets (here)
  • Delicious marinara, Cannonballs! sandwich from Earl of Sandwich, consumed as part of the #2013eateachsandwich challenge, go Sarah! (here)
  • And a COOKIE! the Carrot Cake Cookie from Writer’s Stop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (here)… After nora sampled this a few years ago, she had to go home and try to improve on it! One problem, carrot cake cookies are sticky because of the moisture inherent in the ingredients… she gave up and created a kick@ss white chocolate macadamia nut cookie 🙂
