Links to our posts for the last week…
- Nora continues with her #2013eateachsandwich challenge – this time it was The All American from Earl of Sandwich… unfortunately, it’s been a couple of weeks since she’s been back to try a new one… we’re hoping that everything cooperates and we take the walk over to Downtown Disney this week
- We recently took the resort tour of Wilderness Lodge and Villas, this was a real treat… Ranger Jack was very knowledgable and we had him all to ourselves
From around the blogosphere and the twitter-verse…
- Lots of chatter about all of the food and drinks offered at this year’s Epcot Flower and Garden Festival (March 6 – May 19) – we went over on the 5th to check out any possible soft openings, there were none… the 6th was cold and windy & not a good day for us, but there was a LOT tweeting going on; from the ‘net…
- AJ from The Disney Food Blog (here)
- AllEars.net has a lot of photos (here)
- Scarlett from Touringplans.com blog has a review and some tips (here)
- Sarah at EatingWDW talks about one of our old favorites at Walt Disney World… the Raspberry White Chocolate Cookie. This is a cookie from Selma’s Cookies and is packaged as a Minnie Bakeshop item. You used to be able to get them at Writer’s Stop inside Hollywood Studios. We’ve heard that you can get them (not prepackaged) at Goofy’s Candy Kitchen at Downtown Disney, might have to try one again! AND Sarah has also pointed us to something new to try at Downtown Disney, the Frita Cubana Burger at Bongo’s Cuban Cafe… this baby is made with a combination of beef, pork, and chorizo… yum yum yum!
- Ryan at Main Street Gazette has a post of interest this week… the prime rib sliders at River Roost Lounge at Port Orleans Riverside (you know, Yeehaa Bob), we’ve spent many an hour hanging out at River Roost with our many WDW-Friends… We’ve never seen these on the menu, but honestly, it’s been a while since we went to River Roost; maybe that should be changed
- Also, nora has been following the reimagineering of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, especially it’s queue… Here are two links if you’re interested…
- Disney at Work does a good detailed look at the queue as it is after reimagineering
- WDW News Today has a video of some of the interactive experiences in the queue
Last things…
- We had a pleasant visit to Tutto Gusto recently, Andrea was a very knowledgeable and helpful server… ask for him if you stop in
- We hope that the recent temperatures are gone for good, it’s getting close to spring and nora’s tired of having cold hands (nick just hates being cold)
- Next week, we’ll have two posts about free culinary tours at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House… see you then!
