A better title for this post might be, “Contemporary Resort 2012 Holiday Trees”. But before we look at the trees, how about the largest wreath at Walt Disney World? This one is sort of a technicality. There is a larger “single” circle wreath on property. However, at the Contemporary when you add Mickey’s ears to the overall size, this is the largest wreath at Walt Disney World.
The main part of the wreath is 25 feet in diameter and the Mickey ears (ellipses not circles) are 18 feet in diameter. So yes, this is a big wreath!
Now back to the trees… There are many holiday decorations in the Contemporary. But as I cleaned and arranged photos for this post I realized that the Contemporary has more trees than any other resort at Walt Disney World. I found nine trees just in the public spaces from the lobby up to the monorail station. I am sure there are more in the convention center and upstairs (at least at concierge lounge). Plus, I saw at least 5 trees at Bay Lake Tower. So if you like trees, the Contemporary (and Bay Lake Tower) would be your preferred Walt Disney World Christmas resort.

But none of these trees are why most guests visit the Contemporary at the holidays. They have a more popular tree which I’ll reveal tomorrow. 🙂
