2013 Eat Each Sandwich Challenge – Earl of Sandwich – Tuna Melt

This is the 12th installment of Eat Each Sandwich Challenge (#2013eateachsandwich)

We were just at Earl of Sandwich yesterday (see post about the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich), and for some crazy reason, I decided to get the Tuna Melt… for breakfast… after a 3 mile walk… I’m nuts.

Thus far, I’ve had…

Mini Review

Tuna Melt - Earl of Sandwich April 2013 - 2

Promise to be a moist sandwich at least

This is definitely not a diet sandwich! There’s loads of mayonnaise – should call this the English Tuna Mayo 🙂

It’s pretty tasty, kind of comforting – at least to start.

Extreme close-up — look at all that fatty mayonnaise

I think this has the highest calorie count.

The tuna has a very mild flavor and I didn’t find any chunks of celery or onion in the first half – yay!

The first few bites are gone

There were bits of celery or other green stuff – yuck.

Nick didn’t like the warm tuna at all.

It needs bacon! It needs crunch.

I don’t think I can eat anymore

I sort of liked it, but given other choices, I don’t think I’ll order this again.

Is that sour cream?

This is the first sandwich from Earl of Sandwich ever that I haven’t finished. Just too creamy, rich, and heavy… I left the bits shown in the last photo.
