There isn’t a full, official description of the BBQ Pork Seasonal Special… I’d describe it pulled pork, chunky cole slaw, and BBQ sauce… sweet BBQ sauce.
The bread has the perfect amount of toast.
The pork was good, there were a few chunks in there that weren’t overwhelmed by the BBQ sauce.
The cole slaw had a nice chunk and texture; I’d suggest a bit more vinegar or maybe even some mustard to balance out the BBQ sauce.
Oh! The BBQ Sauce. I know that Sandy loves sweet BBQ sauce, she’d probably love this. I don’t care for sweet BBQ sauce. well, maybe a little on pork ribs or a spicy sweet BBQ on chicken BUT definitely not sweet BBQ sauce on pulled pork (shudder).
So, while I’d leave off the BBQ sauce or at least thin it down or add some tartness, it was a good sandwich. If it becomes a regular sandwich, I’ll order it without the additional BBQ sauce and put some yellow mustard on it. That would balance out the flavors to my tastebuds.
