Today, I’m going to share the Caribbean Jerk Chicken sandwich with you! Described as “grilled chicken, roasted red & banana peppers & spicy jerk sauce”… it was quite tasty & my mouth waters thinking about it!
The roasted red peppers added a note of sweetness (usually I get that from the sliced roma tomatoes) while the banana peppers added notes of spice and vinegar. This was a great combination – one of these alone might have been overpowering, but together they complemented each other.
The chicken was of course the standard Earl of Sandwich Chicken – good in my books.
The bread was toasted just enough to add a bit of crunch without being hard AND keeping the interior moist.
I couldn’t detect any jerk seasoning at all. I thought that maybe it was just me, but Sarah at Eating WDW agreed with me via Twitter.
I LIKE this sandwich, it’s definitely not for everyone – the flavors just suit me 🙂
