Links to our posts for the last week…
- Part 1 of Dining with an Imagineer at Flying Fish Cafe… the Imagineer, Bob Sias… he was particularly interesting to us because of his background in merchandise, marketing, and brand development
- Part 2 of Dining with an Imagineer at Flying Fish Cafe… the FOOD… we’d never eaten there and were more pleased with the food than we expected, it goes on the list of “we’d eat there with someone who wants to but it isn’t a go-to place for us alone”
From around the blogospher and the twitter-verse…
- Food Items!
- Fishyrocketboy (a.k.a. Andy) from Eating (and Drinking) around the World has photos of the food booths for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, only a few days until it opens (March 6th!)
- AJ at The Disney Food Blog has a recipe for “Disney World’s Magic Cookie Bars” – these seem to be the same as Seven Layer Bars… our favorite way to eat seven layer bars? in a seven layer bar ice cream sundae of course! (warmed cookie bar, vanilla ice cream, Hershey’s chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and nuts)
- Sarah at EatingWDW had posts about three items this week that we’ve never tried…
- The fried herb and garlic cheese at 50’s Prime Time Cafe – this has a bit of a cult following on the internet, we’ve never tried it, probably because we haven’t eaten at 50’s Prime Time Cafe very often… looks good
- The cashew baklava at Tangierine Cafe in Epcot – this little spot has been a favorite of ours in the past, before they changed the vegetarian platter… there are actually 3 varieties of baklava: Walnut, Pistachio, and Cashew… need to give these a try
- The grilled cheese and smoked bacon sandwich at Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill… recently reopened, we should give this venue a try (apparently one of the new bartenders here is someone we know) but this sandwich isn’t likely to be on our yummy list, unlike the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese Sandwich at Captain Cook’s inside the Polynesian Resort
- Other items? Things were pretty quiet this week…
Last things…
- We enjoyed our baseball game, even though there was an hour delay due to rain. We ate popcorn (nora ate most of our box and most of Calvin’s box!), peanuts, and barbecue slaw hot dogs. Oh yes, the Atlanta Braves won.
- Next week we’ll have another post about a free resort tour AND another #2013eateachsandwich challenge entry!
