They were actually grilling the lamb chops! Once they&#8217;re done with that, they dip the meaty end into the mint pesto and sprinkle the top with crushed potato chips.<\/p>\n<p>The lamb chop was moist and still pink near the bone (yay!). The mint pesto wasn&#8217;t very minty (yay!). The potato crunchies were a nice textural accent, although we understood them to be crushed salt and vinegar potato chips, they seemed like plain potato chips to us.<\/p>\n<p>We tried the lamb with two of the wines offered at the Australia booth &#8211; Rosemont Estate Traminer Reisling and Rosemont Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Shiraz (a red blend, the Cast Members called it &#8220;the Merlot&#8221;). The Merlot was the preferred pairing with the grilled lamb chop.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, this was the best cooked (meaning that there was understanding and attention paid to the cooking process) item yet at the Epcot Food &amp; Wine Festival booths; although we don&#8217;t have a lot of time before the Festival ends, nora would like another (especially if she can get it not dipped in the pesto).\u00a0On our scale of 1-10 (1=never ever again and 10=gotta have this 2 or 3 more times) \u2013 nora gives it a 9 and nick gives the lambchop a 9 and the pesto+potato crunchies a 2, overall it gets a 9\/10.<\/p>\n<p>Another <a href=\"http:\/\/eatingwdw.com\/2012\/11\/09\/2012-epcot-food-wine-grilled-lamb-chop-with-mint-pesto-and-potato-crunchies\/\" target=\"_blank\">review<\/a> from Eating WDW<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p id=\"caption-attachment-5334\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Grilled Lamb Chop<\/p>\n<p>Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies<\/p>\n<p>We stopped at the Australia booth right at 11:00 as they opened.
