I returned to Mandara Spa at the Dolphin Resort for another massage, this time I had a Swedish massage.<\/p>\n
This differed from the Balinese massage in that there was more pressure and no aromatherapy component.<\/p>\n
I thought that the Swedish massage was more to my liking. Ashley (my therapist) found some “peas” (a.k.a. trigger points) in my upper back and made sure to knead these. And I love to have my feet massaged, it really gets rid of stress (maybe I need to have a reflexology massage?). The best thing about this massage was the neck and scalp massage – I really liked this (I haven’t had a massage like this in years, I used to get a scalp massage treatment at an Aveda Salon where we used to live).<\/p>\n

The music throughout Mandara is quite good – it’s not too yoga-ish, it’s slightly classical and the volume is nice.<\/p>\n
The therapists are nice and quite friendly.<\/p>\n
