Frankly, we don&#8217;t eat beef very often (although, it seems like we&#8217;re eating it more frequently in 2013 than we have in the previous 10 years!)\u2026 However, Sarah &amp; Matt at EatingWDW gave it <a href=\"http:\/\/eatingwdw.com\/2013\/10\/21\/2013-epcot-international-food-wine-festival-china\/\" target=\"_blank\">rave<\/a> reviews AND when we were walking around the Food &amp; Wine Festival one evening, we saw Chef Jens Dahlman (remember back in the spring during the Flower and Garden Festival when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.extrawdwmagic.com\/?p=8227\" target=\"_blank\">Nick had a nice long conversation with Jens<\/a> and Nora didn&#8217;t tell Nick who Jens was?)\u2026 anyway, back to the present, when we saw Chef Jens, we went up and spoke with him\u2026 He told us that The Smokehouse was a Flower &amp; Garden thing (when we lamented it not being here for Food &amp; Wine) AND he told us that the Mongolian Beef Bun was one of his favorite items at the Food &amp; Wine Festival\u2026 So, long story short, we took the Mongolian Beef Bun off of the &#8220;don&#8217;t eat it&#8221; list and put it on the &#8220;must have&#8221; list.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11604\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.extrawdwmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Mongolian-Beef-Bun-China-Epcot-Food-Wine-Festival-2013-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11604\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11604\" alt=\"Mongolian Beef Bun China Epcot Food &amp; Wine Festival 2013 - 1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.extrawdwmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Mongolian-Beef-Bun-China-Epcot-Food-Wine-Festival-2013-1.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/extrawdwmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Mongolian-Beef-Bun-China-Epcot-Food-Wine-Festival-2013-1.jpg 480w, https:\/\/extrawdwmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Mongolian-Beef-Bun-China-Epcot-Food-Wine-Festival-2013-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/extrawdwmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Mongolian-Beef-Bun-China-Epcot-Food-Wine-Festival-2013-1-112x150.jpg 112w, https:\/\/extrawdwmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Mongolian-Beef-Bun-China-Epcot-Food-Wine-Festival-2013-1-400x533.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-11604\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Featured Pairing = Mongolian Beef in a Steamed Bun &amp; Tsingtao Beer<\/p><\/div>\n<p>And yes, we had it with the Tsingtao Beer. Nora used to make steamed buns at home and the texture and flavor of these are spot-on.
