We wanted to show you the bluezoo pub menu\u2026 New items: pork belly bahn mi, mushroom and fontina flatbread, and fish ‘n’ chips (we’ve had all of these)<\/a>.<\/p>\n I forgot to put the camera on “flash” for the photos of the oysters (even though I’d read before getting the phone that the flash works very, very well)\u2026 There were four varieties and we had two of each (that’s eight oysters each). We each had a beer with our oysters (Erin’s recommendations)…<\/p>\n nora’s beer – Blithering Idiot, quite good, I really enjoyed this with the raw seafood<\/p><\/div>\n description of “blithering idiot” from cocktail menu…<\/p><\/div>\n nick’s beer – Weinhenstephaner – it also paired well with the briny oysters<\/p><\/div>\n description of “weinhenstephaner” from cocktail menu…<\/p><\/div>\n two oysters\u2026 Mystic (Massachusetts) and Fannie Bay (British Columbia)<\/p><\/div>\n Fannie Bay – these were better than the oysters from Virginia – they were meaty, bring, and our favorite of the night<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n Mystic oysters from Massachusetts – these were quite good, nick thought they were very flavorful<\/p><\/div>\n Big Swansquot from Virginia and Wainnos from Massachussets<\/p><\/div>\n Wainno oysters, our old friends at bluezoo<\/p><\/div>\n Swansquot, not a favorite, not a lot of flavor<\/p><\/div>\n That’s enough of the photos without auto flash option turned on…<\/p>\n I once again ordered the Pork Belly Banh Mi – and yes, it was good as always\u2026 I really like the slightly vinegary carrots and the punch of the cilantro (odd because we aren’t cilantro fans)<\/p><\/div>\n Yucca Fries with garlic powder accompanying the Pork Belly Banh Mi<\/p><\/div>\n This combination is very, very good (even though I usually don’t eat the house made pumpernickel bread – Nick usually eats it for me, I’m slightly allergic to pumpernickel)\u2026 I’d highly recommend this dish\u2026 it is very consistent and very tasty.<\/p>\n Nick had the Fish and Chips again, tonight the fish was hero (a Hawaiian sea bass)<\/p><\/div>\n in addition to the garlic aioli, you get chips (french fries) with a vinegar powder (yum yum yum)<\/p><\/div>\n This was a perfect light dinner. The only bad note\u2026 Nick asked for plain butter (he wanted to eat my pumpernickel bread with his fish and chips – after all, when we were in England you had bread and butter with your fish and chips (don’t ask me why))\u2026 and the butter was very hard and cold. Now, I know that bluezoo doesn’t usually serve plain butter, it’s probably back in the kitchen for cooking not for eating; so, not a bad fail, just an off note.<\/p>\n my beer with the Pork Banh Mi – they went nice together<\/p><\/div>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>
