2013 Eat Each Sandwich Challenge – Earl of Sandwich – Beginning, Hawaiian BBQ

No, this isn’t something that Earl of Sandwich is doing, a 2013 Eat Each Sandwich Challenge, this is something that nora cooked up in late December… she wants to eat each sandwich at Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney at least once in 2013, she’s even tweeting about it! (#2013eateachsandwich)

Without seasonal specials, there are 16 sandwiches to eat. The months of October, November, and December are excluded (because the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and the holidays already have their own crazy eating). July & August are probably out as well (we intend to walk to Downtown Disney to get these sandwiches – only way to reasonable justify the calories). So that leaves a possible 28 weeks (rough math) to eat all 16+; sounds really easy until you add the “must walk” part in because rain & heat could be a problem!

“Grilled, Chicken, Roasted Ham, Aged Swiss, Fresh Pineapple & Hawaiian BBQ Sauce”

Hawaiian BBQ at Earl of Sandwich - 2

Mini Review

The BBQ Sauce was very sweet, too sweet in fact.

The ham, chicken, and swiss cheese combination was good.

The pineapple was truly fresh sliced pineapple , yum!

Adding yellow mustard helped cut the sweetness of the BBQ Sauce.

Suggestions: skip the BBQ Sauce entirely or get it on the side or just add mustard.

Final: this won’t be on the repeat list if there’s time to repeat sandwiches!
